Requirements
- 4+ years professional sales, marketing, or agency experience
- A passion for, and a comprehensive knowledge of media and advertising industries
- Stellar communication and presentation skills, with the ability to self-edit and present to senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to build, strengthen and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships
- Initiative and confidence to self-start on complex assignments with minimal oversight
- Excellent project management skills: organized and detail-oriented with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team oriented, deadline-driven environment; ability to expertly manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage-up to superiors
- Keen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and effectively cross-functionally; willingness to manage conflict and difficult situations; eagerness to mentor
- A positive, empathetic mindset and a fearless openness to finding opportunities where others may not
- Curiosity and a commitment to flexibility, attentiveness and adaptivity in response to the ever-changing media landscape
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce, Smartsheet)
Responsibilities
- Develop, nurture, and grow strong relationships with a portfolio of accounts
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities on an assigned list of media accounts
- Prospect new business and opportunities with a focus on growth areas such as streaming audio, OTT, new video platforms, gaming companies, retail media networks, and diverse-owned outlets
- Oversee the development, implementation, and impact of strategic, 360-degree media partnerships with the Ad Council's most impactful partners
- Drive opportunities with assigned accounts to help support the Ad Council's programmatic advertising strategy
- Create engagement strategy for assigned media partner accounts, provide strategic guidance on quarterly campaign planning, and manage outreach and implementation
- Support the training and development of team members as needed
- Attend industry events (e.g. conferences, trainings, etc.), represent the Ad Council as needed, and share key learnings with the broader Media Center of Excellence
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external teams to concept, execute and manage partnerships that maximize social good impact and drive campaign core KPIs
- Keep a pulse on the cutting edge of media and advertising technologies and proactively identify opportunities for Ad Council campaigns to test, engage, and scale across the media landscape to foster innovation
- Serve on internal cross-functional teams or special projects to represent the media team and add value to the organization
- Complete administrative tasks such as updating Salesforce, tracking donated media support in internal measurement platform and filling out timesheets on a consistent basis
