Responsibilities
- Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day
- Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services
- Offer solutions through OEC Group's services including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage
- Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team
- Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs
- Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met
- Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory
- Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices
- Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions
