Remote UX Researcher

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX) Design, or related field
• 3+ years experience as a Design Researcher
• Demonstrated understanding of User-centered or Human-centered design principles, User Experience Research including journey mapping, and other best practices in design or management consulting (e.g., ethnography, prototyping, business)
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Must be a US citizen
• Active IRS MBI Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies, to gather insights about user experiences and needs
• Analyze research data to identify patterns, trends, and user pain points. Synthesize findings into actionable insights
• Create user personas and journey maps based on research findings to guide design decisions
• Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes for testing concepts and iterating based on user feedback
• Plan and conduct usability tests on existing products and features to assess user experience and identify areas for improvement
• Document research methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly for team members and stakeholders
• Keep up with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in HCD and UX research to continually enhance skills and processes
• Advocate for the user perspective within the organization, promoting user-centered practices across teams
• Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that insights inform design strategies and product development
