Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in driving change centered on improvements in a highly effective and diverse organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading and developing talent management/development programs. An equivalent combination of education experience may be substituted
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic PR management i.e., planning and policy, talent management, compensation, benefits, training, and staff development, employee relations, and performance management. Experience in negotiations or conflict-solving skills preferred
  • Experience with international hiring practices and labor laws or having managed staff in international locations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to connect successfully with an array of constituents
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products
  • Experience working (and leading teams) in a Work from Anywhere/Remote Work environment is a plus
  • Experience with rolling out and managing highly effective HRIMS
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • An understanding of the unique formation of Soles4Souls as a business enterprise and nonprofit. Prior involvement in business directly or a subsidiary or a willingness to adapt to a business-driven organization will be very beneficial
  • Active membership in National PR organizations like SHRM

Responsibilities

  • Understands that the core of this role is to be a trusted resource for the staff and management and to apply skills, knowledge, experience, emerging trends, and other resources to be the go-to leader in all things People Resources (PR) for Soles4Souls
  • Directs the management and oversight for all People Resources disciplines for the organization
  • Builds/Enhances a people resources infrastructure that promotes our core values in an environment of excellence, diversity, equity, belonging, and growth
  • Develops, manages, implements, and/or improves all activities related to recruiting, hiring, engaging, onboarding, developing, and retaining employees
  • Provides leadership and consulting support to executives and management on matters of reinforcing culture, setting goals, developing policy, and implementing strategic objectives. Helps to align organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities to achieve goals
  • Ensures that the organization develops a high-performing, mission-driven culture by utilizing PR solutions and increasing organizational effectiveness through planned interventions in the organization’s processes. Identifies and recommends changes or improvements to existing practices
  • Develops, leads, and supports all staff professional development activities
  • Manages a competitive compensation and benefits framework and is aware of current compensation trends
  • Ensures S4S has a robust and inclusive performance review process
  • Supports the Board of Directors and its respective committees on matters relating to people
  • Participates as an active member of the Leadership Team
  • Has an awareness of the vast compliance requirements at Federal, State, and local levels and will guide Compliance while balancing the net benefits and complexity needs
  • Ability to travel as required both locally and internationally
  • Oversees the HR Director, who is responsible for benefits administration and the day-to-day operations, including payroll/benefits systems for the U.S. and international operations
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation of inter-personal and organizational conflict, and understands consensus building
