Summary
Join Sandbox VR as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) and drive outbound lead generation, expanding our event sales pipeline. You will prospect and qualify leads, nurture the sales funnel, collaborate with the Events Team, manage CRM data, and stay updated on industry trends. This role requires strong communication, a results-driven mindset, and experience in sales or lead generation. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably in B2B, hospitality, or event sales)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential clients
- A results-driven mindset with proven experience hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Comfort with outbound prospecting techniques, including cold calling and email outreach
- Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to track outreach and manage pipelines
- Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups effectively
Responsibilities
- Prospect & Qualify Leads – Consistently generate and qualify new leads by proactively sourcing, identifying and engaging potential corporate and group event clients through strategic outbound efforts, including cold calls, targeted emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Nurture the Sales Funnel – Move leads through the pipeline by conducting initial discovery calls, understanding client needs, and setting up meetings for the Events Team
- Collaborate with the Events Team and Stores – Work as an integral part of the Events Team, actively supporting event sales efforts by generating and qualifying leads. Partner closely with your peers and stores to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to booking while contributing insights to refine outreach strategies
- CRM & Data Management – Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, lead statuses, and key performance metrics using our CRM system
- Market Awareness – Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and relevant event opportunities in Sandbox VR store markets
- Contribute to Sales Strategy – Provide feedback on lead quality and outreach effectiveness to improve our outbound sales approach. Drive execution of playbook tactics and measure effectiveness through KPIs that tie back to sales
- Meet and exceed monthly lead generation targets
- Increase the conversion rate of qualified leads into booked events
- Drive a high level of outreach activity (calls, emails, LinkedIn touches)
- Ensure all lead data is accurately recorded in the CRM for pipeline tracking
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with event planning, corporate bookings, or hospitality sales is a plus
