Summary

Join Clearstory's sales team as a high-energy Sales Development Representative (SDR) with 3+ years of construction industry experience. You will identify and generate sales opportunities through inbound and outbound activities, developing valuable sales skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working under pressure, thinks creatively, communicates effectively, and is highly self-motivated. This remote role offers a base salary of $66.5k plus a $20k variable component, totaling $86.5k OTE, along with equity options. As an early team member, you'll significantly impact the company's development and culture, contributing to a game-changing technology in the commercial construction industry. Clearstory is a Series B SaaS company revolutionizing change order communication.

Requirements

  • Work well under pressure

  • Initiate relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects
  • Be highly self-motivated
  • Have 3+ years Construction Industry experience including working on the Change Order Process, as a project engineer, project manager or other relevant role
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Be a great writer, speaker, and listener
  • Be fearless and willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain the Clearstory value propositions
  • Have the courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it
  • Be flexible, as things change rapidly
  • Possess the intellectual horsepower to become a guide on Clearstory and commercial construction in a matter of weeks, and the curiosity to keep learning about all its intricacies for years to come
  • Be ambitious and driven to exceed all expectations

Responsibilities

Identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling and emailing activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have 1+ year of B2B cold-calling and CRM experience
  • Have experience selling into the commercial construction industry
  • Have ability to work with a new product category that has already found product market fit
