Summary
Join Instacart's Business Development team as a Sales Development Representative and contribute to the company's growth by generating new business opportunities. You will identify, contact, and qualify potential customers, primarily independent retailers, to join the Instacart Marketplace. Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales or business development role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace
- Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, drive value, and establish meaningful relationships with local retailers
- Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills
- Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy
- Work independently while collaborating with the team to achieve individual and team objectives
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the sales field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage retailers and convey Instacartβs value proposition
- Developing sales collateral, case studies, and custom βstoriesβ to translate benefits of Instacartβs platform to independent retailers
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of grocery retail is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools
