Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role within the technology industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of cloud computing, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and related technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering extraordinary service
  • Exceptional storyteller, able to build excitement and value during presentations and demos

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team in engaging with leads and prospects, including pre-sales meetings and technical demos
  • Assess prospects' met and unmet needs and proactively scope the technical solution required to address requirements
  • Overcome objections by providing a thorough explanation of product features, and additional information as required, to secure a commitment from prospective technical staff
  • Document and respond to follow-up questions from prospects, providing and/or creating supporting materials as needed
  • Partner and work with individual Sales reps to proactively complete RFP technical requirements
  • Liaise with Apporto technical teams to confirm responses where needed
  • Help to ensure that the Apporto demo sites are functioning correctly through regular review and testing
  • Alert engineering teams to issues, trouble areas, or broken features
  • Provide technical training to the sales team on products, new features, use cases, emerging technologies, and general questions that arise
  • Participate in new partner onboarding and conduct sales training sessions for partner sales teams
  • Lead customer-facing discussions, white-boarding sessions, online meetings, and other forms of presentations
  • Working with marketing and technical teams, take the lead in creating appropriate pre-sales materials
  • Support the marketing team with content creation and promotional materials
  • Test demo sites
  • Lead demos to prospective customers
  • Lead demos to prospective partners
