Summary
Join Monte Carlo's growing Sales Engineering team and be a key player in accelerating our rapid growth. As a Sales Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and support to the sales team, deliver demos, plan production rollouts, and position our platform to various stakeholders. This remote role (US or Canada) requires evangelizing our data reliability platform, thriving in an ambiguous startup environment, and being part of a high-performing team. Expect up to 25% travel. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in a technical sales role, a proven track record in early-stage companies, and strong technical and business acumen.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success for a technical product
- High degree of ownership. A relentless desire to solve customer problems and chase down answers
- Business acumen to drill into the value a solution such as Monte Carlo brings to our customers
- Technical acumen to understand and explain complex data architecture
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with different salespeople, and support other SEs where needed
- Firm understanding/experience of at least some of the following: cloud data warehousing, data lakes, ETL concepts and workflows, BI solutions, and SQL
Responsibilities
- Evangelize a category with enormous potential
- Own a high degree of appetite for ambiguity
- Be part of a high-performing team
- Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time
- Provide excellent technical guidance and support to the sales team
- Deliver demos and successful evaluation processes
- Plan production rollouts
- Position the platform to technical and non-technical stakeholders and executives
- Provide technical solutions
- Advocate cross-functionally for the customerβs needs
- Create content to scale your work
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with data products/solutions
- Demonstrated track record in an early-stage company or highly ambiguous environment
