Summary

Join Monte Carlo's growing Sales Engineering team as a Strategic Sales Engineer and be a key member of the sales engine. You will provide technical guidance and support to the sales team, deliver demos, plan production rollouts, and position the platform to various stakeholders. This remote role, located in the US Central Time Zone, requires evangelizing a category with enormous potential in a startup environment. You will need to be highly adaptable and part of a high-performing team, with up to 25% travel to customer sites. The role offers the opportunity to be an early member of the go-to-market team and make a significant impact on the data industry.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success for a technical product
  • Demonstrated track record in an early-stage company or highly ambiguous environment
  • High degree of ownership. A relentless desire to solve customer problems and chase down answers
  • Business acumen to drill into the value a solution such as Monte Carlo brings to our customers
  • Technical acumen to understand and explain complex data architecture
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with different salespeople, and support other SEs where needed
  • Firm understanding/experience of at least some of the following: cloud data warehousing, data lakes, ETL concepts and workflows, BI solutions, and SQL
