Join Thoughtful AI as a Sales Engineer and help healthcare organizations transform their revenue cycle operations using cutting-edge AI technologies. Partner with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to engage prospects, understand their technical needs, and present AI solutions. You will conduct pre-sale technical discovery, create solution proposals, deliver demos, and build confidence with technical stakeholders. Success involves ensuring prospects understand the value of Thoughtfulβs AI solutions, creating realistic solution designs, accelerating deal velocity, and building trust with customers. This fast-paced role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and consultative selling skills.
Requirements
- 3-6+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, product management, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, especially in RCM or similar health tech
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of APIs, integrations, data models, automation, and security considerations
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to architect creative solutions that align to customer needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences
- Comfortable engaging with both business and technical stakeholders in a consultative selling motion
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a high degree of ownership
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales to engage prospective customers during the discovery and solutioning phases
- Conduct deep technical discovery to understand customer systems, workflows, data, and integration needs
- Translate business problems into technical solution proposals, in collaboration with engineering
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and customized demos of our AI Agent solutions
- Build confidence with technical stakeholders by addressing integration, security, and architecture questions
- Scope solution designs that align with customer goals and position deployments for success
- Support pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate technical feasibility and ROI
- Maintain strong feedback loops with product and engineering to inform roadmap priorities based on market needs
