Summary

Black Spectacles is seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in B2B sales and management to lead their sales efforts. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of direct B2B sales experience, at least 5 years of sales management experience, excellent communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. The role involves leading by example, refining sales materials, developing a strategic sales plan, hiring, managing, and mentoring the sales team, utilizing HubSpot, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and regularly reporting on team performance, sales forecasts, and market trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct B2B sales experience
  • At least 5 years of sales management experience
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems is preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example through direct selling to key clients within the first 90-120 days
  • Work closely with leadership to refine sales materials, presentations, systems, and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and solidifies our presence in the market
  • Hire, manage and mentor the sales team, setting performance targets, and providing ongoing training and support to ensure team success
  • Utilize HubSpot to streamline sales processes, track sales metrics, and manage customer relationships effectively
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team
  • Regularly report on team performance, sales forecasts, and market trends to company leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Based in Chicago preferred, but the position is open to full-time remote candidates
