Summary

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales leadership roles, preferably within a high-growth startup or marketplace environment
  • A passion for our mission at Whatnot - you live and breathe the needs of our communities and work relentlessly to improve their experiences on Whatnot
  • A history of exceeding sales goals in a high-volume outbound sales environment
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Experience with CRM systems and advanced sales analytics tools for tracking performance and creating reports
  • Expertise in sales automation tools to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a team of high-performing sales representatives
  • Provide regular coaching and professional development, ensuring the team meets individual and group sales targets
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that drives revenue growth, expands our seller base, and enhances customer acquisition across multiple categories
  • Set clear performance goals, analyze sales metrics, and prepare regular reports to inform leadership on team performance and emerging trends
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to create a cohesive strategy for customer acquisition, product launches, and feedback-driven product development
  • Build and foster strong, long-term relationships with key clients and sellers, ensuring their needs are met and they remain active and engaged on the platform
  • Continuously iterate and improve sales processes, ensuring they scale with business growth and meet the changing demands of a growing marketplace
