Summary
Join our client as a Sales Manager for Shelving Solutions in the Chicago area. Lead sales efforts, understand customer needs, provide tailored shelving solutions, and maximize sales opportunities. Develop and implement sales strategies, identify potential customers, conduct market research, and provide exceptional customer service. Collaborate with the marketing team, prepare sales reports, attend industry events, and mentor the sales team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in shelving solutions, and strong communication and negotiation skills. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Requirements
- Proven experience of 5+ years in sales, ideally in shelving solutions or related fields
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service orientation with a passion for understanding client needs
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote setting
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies that drive market share growth for shelving solutions
- Identify and engage potential customers across various sectors, including retail, industrial, and commercial
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor offerings
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and support materials
- Prepare regular sales reports and analyze performance data to inform strategy
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network and generate new business leads
- Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a management role is advantageous
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
