Remote Sales Operations Analyst

Summary

The Sales Operations Analyst oversees the financial operations of Idera's datatools division, tracks financial performance against a plan, analyzes business performance, and helps senior management make tactical and strategic decisions based on data. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience working in technical operations and/or finance (preferably in B2B SaaS).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working in technical operations and/or finance (preferably in B2B SaaS)
• Extremely detail-oriented self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must thrive on receiving an end-state and figuring out the ‘how’ that gets us to our goal
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience querying data with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with technology platforms for a remote staff (shared drives, Teams, Zoom, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Ensure we are performing to plan through diligent analysis of financial results and trends, turning this data into actionable recommendations grounded in business decisions
• Report on financial performance including key SaaS KPI metrics and identify new business trends to present to the leadership team
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans to identify strengths and weaknesses within the business
• Create ad hoc analyses in order to assist the Customer Success, Marketing, Technical Support, and Product Management teams with making strategic business decisions
• Assist in month-end close processes by tracking 3rd party vendor expenses, various FX rate activities, and verifying commissions earned by our Sales team
• Monitor daily payments, apply transactions to appropriate invoices, and work with our Customer Success team to resolve certain customer payment issues
