Summary

Join insightsoftware as a Business Data Analyst and leverage your IT and financial reporting expertise. This core financial analyst role centers on ensuring the accuracy of Salesforce-based financial reporting and understanding the business processes impacting these reports. You will audit internal reports, create reports supporting audit findings, and collaborate with finance and IT teams. Success requires strong SQL skills, Salesforce CPQ and billing knowledge, and experience with CRM systems. The role involves hands-on data analysis, report writing, and communication with executive leadership. You will be part of an international team within IT Services, reporting to the Director of CRM Applications.

Requirements

• Hands on configuration and understanding of a CRM application
• Communication experience with finance leaders relating to audit reports
• Communication experience with IT resources as a business analyst to communicate requirements
• Experience with building reports in a CRM and data warehouse application
• SQL skill set is required
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and Change Management
• Expert level skill with at least one of SFDC sales cloud, CPQ and/or SFDC billing (or equivalent)
• Expert level skill related to financial data analysis
• Senior level skill in sales operations, quote to cash or financial billing (or equivalent)
• Senior level skill related to SFDC reporting and/or BI reporting (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience with writing SQL queries
• Junior level skill as a SFDC administrator with basic configuration knowledge
• 7+ years of total financial or data analytics experience
• 5+ years of experience in working with financial back-office professionals including understanding financial and billing concepts
• 3+ years of total IT experience

Responsibilities

• Financial report auditing
• Understanding cause and effect to financial data
• Write, analyze and present exception reports to executive leadership
• Ability to understand unique insightsoftware workflow related to quote to cash, order management, and various billing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• SFDC experience is a plus but not a requirement, provided you can demonstrate the skills listed here in a comparable CRM system
• The ability to communicate ideas via technical documentation, as well as in clear, user-friendly language
• Can demonstrate communication skills relating to data analysis in a clear and concise fashion
• Work well in a team environment and as an independent developer
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and provide accurate time estimates
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and follow-through abilities
• Highly motivated self-starter, proactive in your assignments and solid time management skills
• Proven ability to multitask and work through ambiguous requirements
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
