Summary
Join Instructure's growing higher education sales team as an experienced account executive. You will sell Canvas Credentials to higher education institutions in the Midwest, developing sales strategies and exceeding sales quotas. Collaboration with other team members is key, as is participation in industry events. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 + years of proven sales experience
- Must understand educational technology and the LMS landscape
- Experience with Badging/Microcrentialing Initiatives in Higher Education
- Experience selling enterprise level software, SaaS sales and services
- Experience selling at all levels, including βCβ level and above
- Excellent strategic/consultative sales skills
- Ability to do detailed needs analysis and proposal development
- Travel required
Responsibilities
- Sell Canvas Credentials to higher education institutions in the Midwest Territory (ND, SD, MN, WI, IL, IA, NE, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX)
- Develop sales strategies to increase the opportunity pipeline
- Consistently meet/exceed sales quotas
- Partner with Canvas Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Solutions Engineers and other team members to work with customers in a collaborative and consultative manner
- Participate in industry events to develop sales opportunities and personal professional development
- Provide education and training about Canvas products
- Introduce and establish business with new and existing customers

- This role will also have a commission target of 85-100k bringing the OTE to a range of 170-200k
