Senior Accountant

Summary

You will be responsible for the accounting of three companies, focusing on the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and year-end financial statements. Your role involves stakeholder management, process optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position requires a completed business administration degree or comparable qualification, 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, and strong HGB knowledge. Excellent German and English skills are essential. Requirements

• Have a completed business administration degree or comparable commercial training, ideally with a focus on accounting
• Bring 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting – ideally from one of the major auditing firms or from a manufacturing company
• Have profound HGB knowledge
• Master MS Office (especially Excel) and/or the Google Suite confidently
• Have very good German and English skills

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the entire accounting of our three companies – with a focus on the general ledger as well as subsidiary ledgers and the annual financial statements according to HGB
• Be the central contact person for the topic of inventory and also support in other areas of inventory and fixed assets
• Build the bridge between departments such as logistics, the ERP team and the finance department with your pronounced stakeholder management
• Actively drive the optimization of various accounting processes and contribute your own ideas
• Enjoy working with your accounting colleagues in projects and appreciate working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Have further training as a certified accountant
• Have initial experience with IFRS
• Have experience with ERP systems and accounting software (preferably Microsoft Business Central)
