Senior Accountant

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software systems
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies
• Lead external audit processes, ensuring timely provision of required documentation and addressing audit findings effectively
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and related documentation
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Experience within a professional services or consultancy firm
• Experience with NetSuite
