Requirements

  • Progressive experience in accounting, with exposure to fast-paced tech, fintech, or blockchain companies preferred
  • Experience with financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and process automation
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills

Responsibilities

  • Own key aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Implement and enhance financial policies, controls, and automation to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Provide real-time financial insights and analytics to leadership for strategic decision-making
  • Manage financial operations for virtual goods and digital transactions, ensuring accurate accounting treatment
  • Partner with internal teams to refine best practices for tracking, custody, and valuation of digital assets
  • Stay ahead of emerging regulations and blockchain finance innovations, helping to define industry-leading accounting standards
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop, manage, and analyze budgets for both fiat and digital assets
  • Provide variance analysis and real-time forecasting insights to support data-driven financial decisions
  • Process semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll for US and Canadian employees
  • Ensure accurate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with crypto accounting, digital asset reconciliation, and blockchain transactions
  • Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
  • CPA or equivalent
