Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm
• Fluent in English, with at least an upper-intermediate level
• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience in tax calculation, tax filing, and IMSS processes
• Must reside in Mexico, preferably in Guadalajara, with availability to attend the office a few times per month

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Calculate and file taxes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Handle the submission of tax reports and resolve related queries
• Manage social security processes such as employee registrations and terminations with IMSS (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social)
• Provide accurate and timely support for audits and financial reviews
• Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy in accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with US accounting laws and practices
• Fluency in French is highly desirable
