Summary

Join Stream Realty Partners as a Property Transitions Senior Accountant and play a vital role in the financial setup and transition of newly acquired or sold properties. You will collaborate with various teams and clients to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires strong accounting skills, experience in real estate, and excellent communication abilities. You will assist the Property Transitions Manager in various tasks, including bank account setup, wire preparation, and data transition. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study required
  • Prior Real Estate Industry Experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced competence in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams required
  • Exceptional collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills, with a passion for customer service for both internal and external clients
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients to understand requirements
  • High level of motivation, ability to take initiative and multi-task while thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight
  • Great project management, time management and, documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Transitions Manager with job tasks and projects as requested
  • Coordinate with the Treasury department to set up bank accounts as prescribed in the management agreement
  • Prepare and/or release wires as needed
  • Collaborate with the Stream or client financial systems staff to ensure the accurate transition of historical ledger data
  • Map the General Ledger Accounts for clients who are requiring their own chart of accounts
  • Prepare the first full month reporting cycle to ensure A/P, A/R and the financial statement package meet the requirements of the management agreement
  • Communicate and interact frequently with all stakeholders in Property Management, Property Accounting, IT, Treasury, and assigned client contacts
  • Ensure compliance with SOC I requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related accounting/reporting full-cycle GL experience preferred
  • Experience with various accounting systems, Yardi or MRI experience preferred
