Senior Accountant

Summary

The Senior Accountant at Syndigo will be responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliation, and preparing financial statements. The role requires 4+ years of accounting experience, CPA license or certification, and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. This is a primarily remote/hybrid position located in Atlanta and Nashville.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
• CPA license required or on track to obtain full certification in 6-12 months max
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and maintain complete and accurate documentation
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and roll forward schedules (debt, equity, accrual accounts)
• Complete monthly flux analysis for PL and BS
• Prepare the weekly cash forecast for the CFO
• Complete assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statement close activities accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and processes
• Support the year-end audit by compiling and preparing supporting schedules and financial reports
• Continuously improve accounting processes to ensure quality, efficiencies and transparency
• Complete a variety of ad hoc reports and analytics for the Controller, Directors, and Managers

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong leadership experience, communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive management
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and remote work environment
• SaaS or technology company environment preferred
• Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred
