Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Science and 4+ years of work experience in market research, insights, strategy consulting, or similar job role type
- Proficiency in conducting quantitative and qualitative primary market research
- Ability to synthesize large, disparate datasets into clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Strong analytical skills in quantitative and qualitative research, survey design, and data analysis, with a foundational understanding of statistics
- Highly skilled in ensuring data quality, identifying outliers, anomalies, and errors in large datasets
- Experience in developing surveys using Qualtrics or similar platforms, including complex survey logic, piping/dynamic fields, advanced cross tabulations and data weighting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets & Powerpoint/Google Slides
- Demonstrated track record of building in AI tooling/approaches into market research/analysis to drive efficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen business acumen
- Highly proficient in distilling complex information into actionable insights and crafting compelling storylines and recommendations backed by quantitative and qualitative research to drive leadership action
- Highly collaborative with demonstrated experience in cross-functional environments to achieve results in a fast-paced setting
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities
- Provide data-driven insights to inform key strategic decision making across the company, with an emphasis on primary market research
- Develop holistic perspectives on complex questions by integrating raw data, primary research (qualitative & quantitative), and secondary research to generate actionable insights and drive business decisions
- Effectively communicate insights, tell stories, and collaborate with Marketing, Product, Sales and various teams across the organization to build Toastβs collective knowledge and drive action
- Build, test, and deploy surveys from the ground up (including questionnaire design, survey programming/testing, sampling parameters, and data cleaning)
- Manage large, complex datasets and serve as the expert for data analysis, cross tabulation, and various market research techniques (regression, segmentation, data modeling etc.)
- Utilize diverse data sources (e.g., Salesforce, Sigma, Snowflake) to extract, transform, and build analyses and data visualizations that address critical business questions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building/developing data models with data-based assumptions
- Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (Snowflake, Sigma, etc.)
- Strong interest and passion for the restaurant, technology, and hospitality industries
