Senior Aws Sales Engineer

Summary

Join Rackspace Technology as an AWS Sales Engineer and deliver exceptional experiences to customers by driving cloud adoption. The role may involve up to 20% travel within California and can be performed remotely within a one-hour drive of Sacramento.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of front facing technical customer resource. For example solution architecture
• Minimum of four years working with state agencies
• Ability to excel in a fast paced highly competitive environment
• Ability to be flexible not have tunnel vision… ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Strong AWS skills
• Strong writing and speaking skills with the English language

Responsibilities

• Partner with our AWS Sales Representative to sell AWS specifically to the state government of California
• Gather customer requirements
• Teach the value of AWS and Rackspace
• Provide critical missions to state agency and apply technical solutions to their needs
• Drive business and document Solutions
• Simultaneously be focused on public cloud and opportunistic on private cloud

Benefits

• The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $148,400-$261,030
• Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments
• These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time
• Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location
