Summary
Join ecobee's Marketing team as a Senior Brand Manager and play a pivotal role in building ecobee as a leading smart home consumer brand. Lead efforts to craft compelling brand platforms and campaigns, ensuring alignment with ecobee's vision. Act as the guardian of the brand, collaborating across teams and external partners. Oversee brand health metrics, leverage data to inform strategies, and partner with Growth and Product Marketing teams. Foster alignment among internal stakeholders, delivering program playbooks and championing brand guidelines. This hybrid role requires 1-2 days per week in the Toronto office. Contribute to driving brand equity and demonstrating the return on brand investments.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of brand marketing experience and in the tech industry is an asset, with a proven track record of both leading large cross-functional teams through successful brand transformations and demonstrating return on brand investment at the business level
- Skilled in collaborating within a matrixed organization and an Integrated Agency Team to create a cohesive brand experience across the entire user journey
- Demonstrated ability to approach brand building strategically, objective focused while also balancing the management of complex projects involving large cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, driving alignment and delivering on objectives
- Expertise in crafting strategic creative briefs and partnering with internal and external agencies to ensure outcomes align with the strategic vision and deliver impactful results
- Proficient in leveraging data, analytics, and insights to inform brand strategies and develop marketing programs that achieve measurable results
- A creative problem-solver with a forward-thinking mindset, thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous environments while inspiring innovation across teams
- Known for cultivating strong cross-functional relationships and fostering collaboration with a “make it happen” attitude
- A compelling storyteller energized by whitespace opportunities, combining analytical thinking with creativity to drive brand growth and relevance
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute against annual strategic plans to strengthen ecobee’s brand equity, driving awareness, engagement, and loyalty through integrated marketing campaigns
- Partner with a lead strategic marketing agency to lead an integrated agency team model to track and manage brand health metrics, implementing data-driven strategies to enhance consumer perception and grow brand equity over time
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to craft and implement compelling consumer messages that align with broader brand programs
- Work closely with the Growth Marketing team to support acquisition efforts while reinforcing brand preference across all consumer touchpoints
- Serve as the brand's steward, partnering with cross-functional teams and agency collaborators to implement and ensure alignment with ecobee’s overarching brand strategy and guidelines
- Leverage insights to inform strategic decisions, staying attuned to consumer preferences, market trends, and competitive dynamics
- Keep a pulse on industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts to proactively identify opportunities that advance the brand's position and relevance
