Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative brand research
  • Experience working in a consumer-facing /brand-led organization
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with tight timelines
  • Experience balancing creativity with technical excellence
  • Experience driving change and partnering effectively with key marketing and product stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, helping solve complex problems with creative solutions
  • Experience synthesizing insights/learnings from multiple sources to build holistic and compelling recommendations that lead to business impact
  • Proven communication and presentation skills with a track record of delivering concise, executive level synthesis to influence business decisions and strategies
  • Experience with tools such as Brandwatch, YouGov, MRI, and Mintel

Responsibilities

  • Champion the voice of the consumer, serve as an advocate for market research and the power of deeply understanding of the target audience
  • Design and execute innovative quantitative and qualitative research to support decision-making, shape brand strategy, product and campaign development
  • Ongoing evaluation of brand health metrics
  • Brand advertising effectiveness
  • Effectiveness of new marketing initiatives for the companies
  • Understanding motivations / barriers to consumer perception & usage intent
  • Develop & execute research learning agendas and measurement approaches in partnership with the Brand team to evaluate effectiveness of work in the market
  • Oversee the full life-cycle of a research project, including managing contractors and research vendors
  • Distill complex data into clear and actionable insights and communicate those insights across the company in a way that inspires new ways of thinking, drives impact in the organization
  • Regularly triangulate and communicate customer insights, market and business trends across our organization, so the company is working off the same foundational understanding of our consumer, company and category
  • Spot and propose opportunities to bring deeper insights to the team around our target audience or the competitive landscape
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends related to market and media research methodologies, recommending the right mix of existing tools & custom research necessary to round out our learning agendas

Preferred Qualifications

Prior management experience and can manage relationships with contractors and vendors to support market research work
