This role requires collaboration with various teams to align content with business goals and leverage data to improve performance. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional writing and storytelling skills, expertise in newsletter growth strategies, and a deep understanding of the AI landscape and enterprise software. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7+ years in content marketing or thought leadership roles, with at least 3 years focused on enterprise software
- Proven track record of developing and scaling successful newsletters or email lists, with measurable growth in subscriber base and engagement metrics
- Deep understanding of the AI landscape and enterprise software
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a focus on translating complex AI concepts into accessible, compelling content
- Expertise in newsletter growth strategies, including paid and organic growth (e.g., blog, Substack, Medium, or similar)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content initiatives and deadlines
- Familiarity with enterprise software ecosystems, including SaaS, cloud computing, and data analytics platforms
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a content strategy on the hottest topics in software
- Design and execute a thought leadership content strategy that delivers compelling insights into agentic AI trends, use cases, and enterprise applications, tailored to C-level executives and IT decision-makers
- Operate at the cutting edge of Workato’s point of view
- Oversee the production of high-quality, opinionated content with your own byline as well as executive ghostwriting, including newsletter articles, whitepapers, and thought pieces that shape industry perspectives on AI and enterprise software
- Build an engaged subscriber base to elevate Workato’s credibility and influence
- Build a newsletter and drive subscriber growth through organic and paid channels (on a platform such as Substack or Medium), using data-driven strategies to optimize engagement, open rates, and click-through metrics
- Keep tabs on the latest trends in our industry and in Agentic AI research
- Stay ahead of the agentic AI landscape, including emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and market trends, to ensure content is authoritative, relevant, and forward-thinking
- Collaborate and build relationships across the organization
- Partner with product marketing, product, and communications teams to align thought leadership content with business goals, delivering narratives that influence opinions and drive impact
- Build feedback loops that improve our performance with data
- Leverage audience analytics and feedback to refine content strategies, ensuring resonance with enterprise stakeholders and measurable improvements in engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees or certifications in AI or marketing are a plus
- Academic debate experience is a plus
- Experience in automation, integration, orchestration, or other middleware is a plus!
