Summary
Join Aledade as a Senior Director, Commercial Contracting and lead negotiations of value-based care contracts with health plans. You will renegotiate existing agreements, develop new partnerships, and mentor junior team members. Responsibilities include independently leading negotiations, developing expertise in Aledade's contract terms, co-leading business development, and overseeing junior team members. The role requires 15+ years of progressive experience in healthcare contract negotiations within value-based care and a Bachelor’s degree. A Master's degree or other advanced degrees are preferred. The position involves extensive computer use, occasional walking and lifting, and the ability to travel.

Responsibilities
- Independently lead negotiations and renegotiations of Commercial value-based care contracts with prospective health plan partners, which may include: proactively engaging with health plan partners to improve terms, assessing and drafting contractual language, establishing initial contract terms, tracking deliverables, interfacing with internal teams, compiling data, reporting updates and executing value-based care contracts for Commercial members/patients
- Develop a deep knowledge of Aledade’s existing Commercial contract terms and preferred approaches to value-based reimbursement components, and act as the internal expert for contract questions for teams across Aledade
- Co-lead business development and new health plan partnership efforts with VP in support of new multi-year risk arrangements
- Oversee and mentor junior team members leading or working on Commercial negotiations
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within Aledade and at health plan partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Results-oriented with the ability to exercise influence to achieve goals rather than control
- Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships and communicating effectively with senior management
- Passionate about driving the shift from fee-for-service to value based care
- Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in management, health services research, health and/or public policy, or other relevant fields is preferred
- Expert sales, business development, growth professional at local and national level
