Summary

Join Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) as a Sr. Events Planner! This role focuses on aligning with sales teams and coordinating distribution-related programs across the marketing team. You will manage end-to-end planning of retail and internal events, working closely with senior leadership and external partners. The ideal candidate possesses experience in insurance or financial marketing corporate events, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. F&G offers a flexible work environment with options for in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in insurance or financial marketing corporate events
  • Financial Services knowledge; insurance industry preferred
  • Creative and inquisitive thinker
  • Strong writing and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-functional financial services environment to prioritize and spearhead sales team marketing priorities as they relate to overall, and often shifting team objectives and strategies
  • Aptitude to learn key product capabilities and incorporate into effective marketing approaches
  • Must have excellent listening skills to discern most important aspects of sales team requests
  • Must be detail-oriented with proficient organization skills
  • Must work in a collaborative environment and take direction from a number of individuals at the same time based on project demand
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; resourceful, action oriented, and ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced organization
  • Comfortable in a high energy environment that values creativity, self-motivation, honesty and accountability
  • Work environment will be fast-paced and deadline-oriented so must be able to handle multiple projects with multiple players from a variety of locations at any given time
  • Heavy computer use and sitting for long periods of time
  • Some 25%+ travel expected

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main planning contact with oversight on budget, vendor management, client relationship, logistics and tax reporting
  • Coordinate with SVP level and above to ensure the F&G experience is carried through to the advisor through thoughtful planning, attention to detail, relevant content and the highest level of customer service
  • Contribute to building compelling agenda content that creates value for our advisor audience through coordination with internal senior leaders, product partners and our external strategic partners
  • Represent F&G to our strategic partners (BlackRock, Barclays) to leverage their thought leadership and advisor education opportunities to bring to the advisor audience
  • Manage event registration systems to allow for an advisor friendly process
  • Proactively consider opportunities for ongoing improvement of the advisor experience

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to marketing to independent marketing organizations highly desirable
