Requirements

  • Previous experience as an insight analyst
  • Experience in delivering actionable insight to support decision making in marketing, commercial, product, operational and/or strategic decisions
  • Experience in taking a business question or problem and turning it into an insight brief
  • Experience in driving actionable insight from data
  • Experience in devising solutions to solve data & analytics problems
  • Experience in extracting data from various sources and bringing it together for analysis
  • Familiarity with a range of analytical and statistical techniques, including A/B testing and Forecasting
  • Experience in managing project work of yourself and others - effectively planning parts of the project and delegating to other insight analysts accordingly
  • Experience in insight storytelling and presenting to both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Experience in using data warehouse and BI platforms; including metric creation, report/dashboard/visualisation development

Responsibilities

  • Lead on and deliver analytical projects, that derive actionable insight that support business performance
  • Plan and manage insight projects end to end with clear alignment to business value
  • Ensure the technical delivery across projects is appropriate / fit for purpose
  • Provide and present findings and recommendations to the business
  • Manage clear stakeholder communications throughout the project
  • Manage concurrent insight projects
  • Support managers within the team to develop insight roadmap
  • Identify opportunities to add value through insights
  • Take ownership of key insight focus areas within the team, managing workload and stakeholder relationships for this focus area
  • Lead stakeholder relationships in order to follow up on projects and see through recommendations
  • Support ad-hoc request into the team - take responsibility for finding solutions to automating ongoing requests
  • Support the development of best practices around statistics, coding, visualisation, storytelling, QA, project delivery
  • Be an ambassador for the team - raise the profile of the team through showcasing insight work across the business (ie. through ad-hoc training, lunch and learns)
