Summary
Join Coalition, a leading Active Insurance provider, as a Senior Internal Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of internal communication strategies. You will be responsible for evolving the internal communications function, engaging employees, and serving as the master of ceremonies for company events. This role requires strong collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and well-written, with a passion for creating compelling narratives and fostering a unified remote-first workforce.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working in internal and/or employee communications, preferably at global, high-growth companies
- Self-motivated communication with strong project management skills who can independently prioritize shifting workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading internal companywide meetings and events, including but not limited to strategic agenda building, executive communications and emceeing
- Exceptional collaborator with strong attention to detail and accuracy in all communications deliverables
- Excellent writer and verbal communicator
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal communications strategies, protocols and best practices that inform, engage, and align Coalition employees to our core values, business goals, and customer needs
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to craft clear, motivating communications around company updates, initiatives, and key milestones
- Partner with External Communications and Marketing teams to ensure employees are informed of external happenings and announcements
- Drive employee engagement by creating content that celebrates Coalitionβs culture, highlights employee achievements, and keeps teams aligned with organizational objectives
- Create and manage internal communications channels (Confluence, Slack channels, etc.) to ensure consistent and effective messaging
- Seek out and propose new tools, processes and/or policies to ensure the flow of internal communications at Coalition remains congruent with the business
- Evaluate, manage, and mitigate internal communications risks through the development of communications and response plans addressing potential sensitive topics
- Lead the planning and execution of key internal communication events such as all-hands, quarterly kick-offs and large-scale company announcements, providing content creation and messaging support
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts, gathering feedback to refine strategies and improve engagement
