Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Management, Business Analytics)
- 4+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on data strategy and governance
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, regulations, and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of the organization’s data strategy in alignment with business goals
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize data needs for key business initiatives
- Advise on the design and refinement of data architecture, systems, and processes to enhance data management efficiency and effectiveness
- Effectively manage a team to enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure that data practices meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Implement and oversee data stewardship programs focused on data quality and integrity
- Support a team of Business Intelligence Analysts to develop company-wide dashboards in Tableau leveraging best practices
- Provide guidance to the business on how to interpret key insights from BI projects, presenting to senior stakeholders when appropriate
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and support their data needs and challenges
- Communicate the value of data governance practices to team members and other stakeholders
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the data strategy and governance team members
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
