Summary

Join Palo Alto Networks' Sales team as a Professional Services Sales Engineer, partnering with Sales Managers to support core and speedboat accounts. You will understand customer needs, scope efforts, and recommend services for successful outcomes. Design and architect implementation and optimization solutions, assist with large-scale technology transformations, and recommend post-sales resource teams. Deliver compelling presentations, conduct customer discovery workshops, and translate technical solutions into business value for C-level executives. This remote position, open to candidates in the EST time zone, reports to the Director of Service Sales and involves domestic and potential international travel. The role requires strong technical expertise and consultative sales experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in security, infrastructure, or cloud technologies, including 2+ years in a consultative or sales role
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to create technical documentation (SOWs, project timelines, etc.) for sales and delivery teams
  • Experience leading discovery workshops and developing multi-year service roadmaps
  • BS technical degree or equivalent military experience required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Services Sales Managers supporting core and speedboat account teams
  • Understand customer requirements, scoping level of effort and recommending services that provide successful outcomes for our customers
  • Design and architect implementation and optimization solutions
  • Assist customers with planning for large-scale transformations in technology and recommend the appropriate post sales resource teams to ensure client success
  • Run virtual and in-person customer discovery workshops
  • Translate technical solutions into business value for C level executives
  • Support a large team of sales reps and work as the services technical resource along with the Service Sales Manager
  • Drive services revenue in a specific territory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quota-carrying sales experience and channel partner engagement
  • Desirable knowledge of security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and SOC environments
  • Practical understanding of routing, switching, and adjacent network products
  • Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Apprentice and Practitioner certifications
