📍Remote - Canada

Summary

Join Wealthsimple, Canada's largest fintech company, as a Product Marketing Manager to support our Investing and Brokerage businesses. You will help shape how millions of Canadians invest by translating product innovations into compelling narratives and go-to-market strategies. Deeply understand clients, market trends, and the competitive landscape to create messaging, positioning, and campaigns that drive growth and trust. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on major product launches and initiatives. Create integrated marketing plans, influence product roadmaps, and uncover new growth opportunities. This role requires strategic thinking, managing executional details, and driving long-term business impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing in technology organizations that have experienced hyper-growth
  • You have experience with and are comfortable using a wide array of AI tools that boost your daily productivity and make sure you keep up with the rest of AI-native Wealthsimple employees who use AI in their day-to-day to increase their quantity, quality and velocity of output
  • You’re a great cross-functional collaborator who brings out the best in others, enabling them to do their most impactful work
  • You have a demonstrated track record of developing go-to-market plans, helping to shape positioning, and working to bring that positioning from theoretical (in a doc) to practical (on a surface)
  • You are comfortable diving into client behaviour data to find pockets of demand and growth, and manage campaign results to assess impact and incrementality, as well as make recommendations as to how these results should shape future actions
  • You are capable of managing interdepartmental relationships, ensuring that all stakeholders are working off the latest/updated information, that their questions are answered quickly, and that they are delivering on their plans on time and in a coordinated fashion across channels
  • You are detail oriented, ensuring that all marketing materials produced (by yourself and by others) are accurate and aligned with the overall positioning of the product or feature
  • You have experience in tech companies where customer and data insights guide your decisions
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action
  • You go above and beyond to seek out growth opportunities for the business, for your discipline, and for yourself
  • You are a challenger. You don’t take things at face value and questions status-quo assumptions like “well, we’ve always done it this way” or “someone is doing it this way, so…” because you're constantly looking to optimize and level up both the business and those around you
  • You have an optimistic mindset and default to “Challenge or problem? Good. Let me find an opportunity to solve it”

Responsibilities

  • Support on our biggest Go-To-Market initiatives: ensuring that the launch runs smoothly by managing the executional details across multiple stakeholders. This includes collaborating with stakeholders as we build positioning into marketing materials across all touchpoints, managing legal reviews, ensuring our data science teams are set up to track the success of our campaign, and summarizing & sharing out results
  • Lead smaller Go-To-Market initiatives: learn the ropes and gain experience in forming the launch strategy for your own campaigns, from shaping positioning and go-to-market plans, to leading execution across all teams and touchpoints
  • Drive more client insights: develop and execute client research initiatives, and dive into our internal data to find patterns and growth opportunities, and then champion those learnings across relevant teams to drive action. Become the voice of our clients and trusted advisor to inform product positioning, brand differentiation, content creation and external communications
  • Lead new experiments: design, execute and track results for new experiments (we love to find scrappy ways to test if a bigger bet is worth making) aimed at suggesting ways to change our fundamental product and marketing operations
  • Help us develop a deeper understanding of the market and ecosystem (including clients, competitors, policymakers, news media, and the government) by taking on regular market and competitor scans
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in the investing and fintech industries, proactively proposing new opportunities and thought leadership content to keep Wealthsimple at the forefront of innovation
  • Act as an AI-native marketer by synthesizing client insights from diverse internal sources (sales, CS, product) and leveraging AI tools to enhance competitive tracking, sharpen positioning, and introduce innovative approaches that upskill the team and inform strategy
