Senior Program Manager

Summary

Join Airbnb's Trust Team as a Program Manager and contribute to shaping the future of their defense systems. You will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of priorities that impact the user journey and customer experience for hosts and guests. This role involves creating, managing, and maintaining strategic roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Airbnb's business objectives. You will also lead cross-functional teams to deliver products that make Airbnb a safe and reliable platform. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Requirements

• You have experience working with senior leaders and delivering strategic objectives through the identification and delivery of initiatives that have material impact on key business metrics
• You have a proven track record of launching complex products in highly constrained environments through the full scope of the product development lifecycle
• You have phenomenal problem solving skills
• You are detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to identify and manage blocking issues
• You build great relationships and can drive alignment across large cross-functional teams
• You enjoy learning how products are built and run, and can distill complex systems and processes into simple written and verbal communications
• You are excellent at connecting the dots across initiatives and ensuring teams are focused on delivering what matters most
• 10+ years of experience driving complex cross-functional programs
• 5+ years of leadership experience i.e. responsibility for direct reports (note: this role is an individual contributor position with long-term opportunity for team leadership)
• Expert understanding of project management and maturation fundamentals
• Excellent communication, engagement and senior leadership influence skills
• Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups and stakeholders is imperative
• Thrives in ambiguity and expertly brings order to chaos

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of priorities that will impact the way we deliver a Trusted user journey and customer experience for Airbnb hosts and guests
• Create, manage, and maintain multiple strategic priorities or pillar roadmap ensuring alignment with Airbnb’s business objectives
• As necessary to ensure the realization of strategic goals you will drive end-to-end delivery for products that make Airbnb a safe and reliable platform
• Working closely with cross-functional or organizational teams, you will collaborate on the design and execution of transformative Trust solutions
• Your ability to think strategically and identify opportunities and gaps will be crucial in unlocking more value for hosts and guests and ensuring that Airbnb remains at the forefront of the industry
• Build relationships within the Trust team and across Airbnb to facilitate successful development and delivery of a strategic roadmap
• Manage the pillar / priority roadmap, consistently evaluating new potential entrants to ensure alignment with metric goals
• Drive metric definition and storytelling explaining strategic priorities’ impact on objectives and key results
• Understand and articulate how initiatives and projects contribute to overall strategic priority metrics
• Track critical milestones within to ensure progress is being achieved
• Lead cross-organization teams and program team driving cross-functional programs from ideation through launch
• Drives delivery of business objectives by ensuring strategies are effective and as necessary leading adjustments that  enable the team to meet evolving business needs and market conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Program Management certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences preferred
