Join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries as a Senior Program Manager I, MSD. Develops and executes programs within the MSD Solutions Lab initiative; leads project management of education materials and coordinates relationship management efforts with the advisory council and pledge community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- In lieu of education, at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Understanding of how marketing and communication strategies are developed and executed
- Understanding of event management tactics
- Advanced understanding of EHS practices and systems management
- Analytical and strategic thinking that supports efforts to turn research-based strategies and behavioral patterns and theories into communications appropriate for a public audience
- Experience working with executive-level EHS professionals
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Internet computer skills
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes programs within the MSD Solutions Lab initiative
- Defines program requirements, manages project execution, reports on deliverables, and works to maximize impact and engagement opportunities with each project aimed at reducing musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace
- Leads project management of education materials and coordinates relationship management efforts with the advisory council and pledge community
- Defines the main objectives of projects, their purpose, and scope
- Creates integrated and ongoing project plans to include key deliverables and milestones and tasks required to complete each
- Executes the work or assigns work as part of the plan
- Monitors and controls processes/tasks associated with the project
- Provides knowledge, education, and awareness of products/services to any population that might not otherwise have access to or knows of NSC programs
- Writes articles, blogs, or similar outreach documents for print or online publications
- Knows public policy, issues, legislature, and regulatory influences, as well as scientific research, and reports the most effective strategies to address the issues
- Participates in trade shows or other similar events
- Engages in regular communication with, and builds relationships in all directions (e.g., peers, supervisors, funders, stakeholders) to advance the strategy/program
- Supports and encourages an environment that appreciates the diversity of employees' and stakeholders' styles, opinions, and perspectives
- Relays information, builds consensus, fact-finds, and maintains transparency and open exchange while keeping partners up to date and notified of program status and impact
- Communicates with other NSC initiatives, campaigns, and departments to identify potential dissemination and cross-collaboration opportunities
