Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the life sciences or academic research sectors
  • Proven expertise in mRNA technologies, enzymology, and life sciences research methodologies
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets through strategic sales planning and execution
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills, with a track record of closing complex deals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with researchers and institutions
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a proactive approach to sales
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite for data tracking, reporting, and customer management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new customers, drive product adoption, and expand relationships with existing accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for the TriLink brand (part of Maravai), building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in research and development to align with their scientific objectives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our mRNA synthesis, enzymology, and reagent portfolio to effectively communicate product benefits and applications to customers
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to specific customer applications and research needs
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies and identify market opportunities
  • Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) to track sales activities, pipeline progression, and key performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and accurate forecasting
  • Partner closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support teams to enhance market penetration and drive customer success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) or professional sales certification
  • Deep understanding of mRNA technologies, enzymatic processes, and advanced life sciences research methodologies, with the ability to apply them to customer solutions
