Summary
Join Degreed's Accounting/Finance Team as a Staff Accountant and play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations. Requirements
- ERP and CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with NetSuite ERP, Salesforce, and Navan systems
- Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of US GAAP, multi-currency transactions, and reconciliation processes
- Detail Orientation: Precision in preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining asset schedules
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and independently drive tasks
- Organizational Skills: Skilled in managing multiple tasks to meet monthly and annual closing timelines
Responsibilities
- Lead A/R and A/P Processes: Lead accounts receivable and accounts payable, record daily general ledger entries, and perform reconciliations for monthly and year-end reporting
- Procure to Pay: Lead the end-to-end invoice and payment processing, ensuring invoices are accurately matched. Ensure timely approval of payments in accordance with Degreedβs approval policies
- Process Payments and Reconciliations: Handle the AP process, confirm bank and vendor details, prepare bank reconciliations, and complete cash applications
- Prepare Journal Entries: Post monthly journal entries and complete reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts, including capital expenditures and depreciation schedules
- Support Monthly Close: Conduct closing tasks, including recording journal entries for multi-currency and intercompany transactions, to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
- Collaborate with Global Teams: Work with international finance teams to reconcile multi-entity and multi-currency intercompany transactions on the general ledger
