Requirements

• Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in business operations, finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on ROI analysis and cost optimization

Responsibilities

• Optimize R&D Investments: Develop robust business models and frameworks to evaluate the financial viability of R&D projects, assess potential ROI, and prioritize initiatives based on strategic impact
• Drive Operational Efficiency: Analyze R&D spending, identify cost optimization opportunities, and implement strategies to improve resource allocation and streamline processes
• Lead Budget Planning & Management: Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the R&D organization, collaborating with engineering and product teams to develop accurate forecasts and allocate resources effectively
• Deliver Actionable Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of R&D performance, including project cost tracking, resource utilization, and return on investment, to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making
• Influence Key Stakeholders: Prepare compelling presentations and reports that effectively communicate R&D performance, budget proposals, and investment recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Native-Japanese speaking skills: The role requires high-degree of interface with executives and professionals in Japan - so native Japanese language proficiency is highly desirable
• Experience working in the software industry, particularly with R&D teams
• Familiarity with embedded software development methodologies in semiconductor industry
