Summary

Join Climate Arc, a nonprofit accelerating climate action, as their new Strategic Partnerships Manager focused on Asia. This crucial role will involve building and nurturing relationships with key partners across the region, including philanthropic organizations, NGOs, and coalitions working in climate finance. You will drive impactful collaborations, leverage your stakeholder engagement expertise, and serve as a central point of contact for these organizations. The position requires proven experience in partnership management in Asia, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the climate finance ecosystem. Requirements

  • Proven experience creating and managing partnerships in Asia, particularly with philanthropic institutions and NGOs
  • Knowledge and understanding of the global and Asian climate finance ecosystem or climate change-related discipline
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • English language fluency, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, research, and analysis specific to Asia, to identify strategies for effective engagement with regional organizations
  • Build and manage relationships with philanthropic and regranting organizations, NGOs, and coalitions across Asia that are key to Arc’s goals
  • Use your knowledge of local markets to engage with key regional players, including delivering presentations, fostering dialogue, and managing communications
  • Keep up to date with partners’ initiatives in Asia and identify synergies with Arc’s work to scale impact
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to answer technical queries from partners and stakeholders in the region
  • Lead meetings with partners and Arc colleagues to align on goals, track progress, and address challenges
  • Support the formalization of partnerships, including MOUs and agreements
  • Monitor the impact of relationships in the region and provide regular briefings for leadership while addressing challenges to align stakeholders’ interests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in one or more local languages. Mandarin is advantageous
  • Existing relationships within Asian financial institutions, NGOs, or relevant coalitions aligned with Arc’s strategic pillars
  • Experience in a similar role within an NGO, philanthropic organization, financial institution or consultancy
  • Familiarity with regional trends in climate finance and sustainability initiatives in Asia including policy and regulation shifts
