Summary
Join our team as a Sustainability Consultant and work with leading global organizations. You will develop corporate and product impact inventories, set sustainability targets, identify value chain risks, and create actionable strategies. You will be the primary client contact, leveraging our AITrack SaaS platform and analyst teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role requires a Master's degree in a sustainability-related field and at least two years of client-facing consulting experience, or a Bachelor's degree with five years of experience and demonstrated expertise. Expert knowledge of sustainability standards and corporate accounting is essential, along with strong communication and analytical skills. Preferred qualifications include extensive consulting experience, experience with impact modeling, and programming skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree a sustainability-related degree with at least two (2) years of experience working on client-facing sustainability consulting engagements
- Bachelorโs degree will be considered if the candidate has demonstrated subject matter expertise and at minimum five (5) years of experience working on client-facing sustainability consulting engagements
- Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience with major market drivers of sustainability, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)
- Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience in Scope 1, 2 and 3 corporate accounting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on assessment and survey data
- Strong experience writing technical documents and preparing client facing slide decks; including topics such as methodology documentation, summaries of analytical insights, and instructional materials
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability consulting, preferably working with clients in the sectors of technology, apparel/textiles, and agriculture
- Demonstrated experience with supporting clients in third-party assurance of corporate inventories
- Demonstrated experience in developing financially driven sustainability strategies for clients
- Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to learn new fields and grow with the company
Responsibilities
- Work with some of the largest organizations in the world to develop corporate and product impact inventories
- Set and track sustainability targets
- Identify embedded sustainability risks in the value chain
- Create actionable sustainability strategies
- Be the main contact point with our clients
- Understand our clientโs unique sustainability challenges
- Use the power of our revolutionary AITrack Software-as-a-service (Saas) platform and analyst teams to derive strategic insights to derive innovative solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in leading sustainability-related consulting engagements with end-to-end responsibilities including project management, client relations, active leadership and problem-solving, and proposal writing
- Experience with modeling impact mitigation interventions and building marginal abatement cost curves
- Life cycle inventory database development/curation/maintenance
- Content-specific knowledge/experience with electronics, textile/fashion or agricultural LCAs
- Expertise in renewable energy markets and opportunity identification
- Programming experience, especially with R, Python and SQL
- Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., PowerBI)
