Requirements
- Experience in CISCO Unified Communications Manager
- Experience in the desktop and network space
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role within the telecommunications (telco) industry
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications-specific (telco) systems and protocols
- Experience with telecommunications-specific (telco) equipment and technologies, such as PBX systems, VoIP, and SIP
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure tailored for telecommunications, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with telecommunications-specific (telco) software applications, billing systems, and customer management platforms
- Solid understanding of system security principles and best practices in the telecommunications (telco) industry
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications specific to the telecommunications environment
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance
- Perform regular backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery measures to ensure uninterrupted service
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with industry-specific compliance and security standards
- Provide prompt and effective technical support and resolution for user inquiries and technical issues related to telecommunications systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and telecommunications specialists, to implement and enforce IT policies and procedures
- Conduct system audits to protect against unauthorized access and data breach, taking into account telco-specific vulnerabilities
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting steps
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with the team
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced telecom environment
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
