Summary

Join Figma's growing team as a Lead UX Writer/Content Designer for Dev Tools! You'll focus on enhancing the developer experience within and outside Figma products, bridging the gap between design and production. This role involves contributing to product strategy, crafting compelling narratives, collaborating cross-functionally, and iterating on user experiences. You'll oversee language across a product suite, building taxonomies and glossaries. This full-time position can be based in our London hub or remotely in the UK. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience crafting UX, whether in content, design, or engineering
  • A proven understanding of the English written language and its role in crafting high-quality UX
  • A strong understanding and familiarity with common coding concepts and languages
  • An eye/ear for cohesive, intuitive storytelling, and for high-quality, well-crafted design
  • Experience working independently to explore information architecture, mental models, and content
  • Demonstrated ability to craft simple language solutions to highly complex user problems

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to overall product strategy around Figma’s developer experience
  • Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, design, writing, and research peers
  • Create, collaborate, and iterate on the user experience—content, flows, and prototypes
  • Partner with design to ship high-quality product experiences and improvements
  • Oversee language across a broad product suite, building taxonomies, glossaries, and other artifacts in support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a software engineer, design engineer, or other developer role
  • Experience as a UX designer, creative technologist, or other design-centric role
  • A generative spirit, and excitement about coming up with novel, simple solutions and language
  • A track record of leading 0-to-1 initiatives
