Summary

The Vice President of Strategic Business Development is responsible for driving commercialization services for new clients in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry. They will engage with clients to create new relationships, promote Precision capabilities and solutions through lead generation activities, manage the sales cycle, negotiate client deliverables, maintain client records, collaborate with service lines, and contribute to pricing and competitive positioning. The required experience includes a university degree in business or marketing, 15+ years of experience selling to life sciences/pharmaceutical clients, past experience carrying a quota, and expertise in consultative selling. Helpful experience includes an MBA/MS in business or marketing and proficiency in Salesforce.com. The estimated compensation range is $170,000 - $210,000 USD.

Requirements

  • University degree in business and/or marketing, or similar
  • 15+ years of experience selling to life sciences/pharmaceutical clients; selling commercialization services and products to support drug launches
  • Past experience carrying a quota with successful attainment of objectives
  • Skilled in generating and managing leads
  • Successful track record in driving revenue growth, achieving business results
  • Expertise in consultative, insight-focused account-based selling approach
  • Comprehensive understanding of life science and pharmaceutical engagement strategies and tactics

Responsibilities

  • Engage life science clients – either individually or in group presentations – to create and cultivate new relationships that lead to additional revenue opportunities
  • Promote Precision capabilities and solutions through involvement in lead generation activities (e.g., conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.)
  • Actively manage the client sales cycle including prospecting, stakeholder meetings, proposal development, proposal delivery, pipeline management, and transition to implementation
