Requirements
- Proven experience with examples in brand strategy, content strategy, and communications in a high growth, matrixed B2B enterprise environment
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing brand campaigns that elevate brand presence and drive measurable business impact, namely pipeline and revenue
- Strong understanding of digital content distribution channels, including social media, SEO, email, and web content
- Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling messages for a variety of audiences across CMS, data, and analytics
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams in a collaborative, high-growth environment
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in leveraging data and analytics to optimize brand and content strategies
Responsibilities
- Develop a track record of setting and breaking pipeline and revenue targets
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous learning
- Leverage internal and external insights to communicate the role of brand, content, and communications play in driving pipeline growth
- Navigate across a matrixed organization within a complex, evolving market
- Lead the development and execution of a holistic brand positioning platform approach that grows awareness, shifts perception, and differentiates WordPress VIP in the market, fostering a brand identity that resonates with enterprise B2B audiences in key markets
- Partner with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive brand message across all channels, including digital, social, web, events, and partner channels
- Oversee creating and implementing a brand system, including tone, voice, and visual identity across global campaigns
- Partner closely with GTM Revenue Marketing and commercial teams to ideate on and launch effective marketing campaigns targeting priority markets and audiences
- Partner with leadership and enablement to establish an internal program to reach, engage, and galvanize employees to become brand evangelists and solution experts regardless of role or function
- Oversee and innovate how to approach content planning, creation, and distribution, including long-form and short-form content, blogs and blog posts, case studies, video content, and new and existing channels
- Collaborate with product marketing, revenue marketing, and sales teams to ensure content is compelling, stands out, and demonstrates WordPress VIP as an authority in the CMS space
- Be pipeline-driven, and ensure content is continuously optimized, aligned to different needs including thought leadership and conversion
- Able to report on performance trends, identifying key insights to shape decision making
- Drive a comprehensive communications strategy, including PR, Analyst Relations, and crisis, executive, and internal communications
- Manage relationships with PR agencies and media outlets to increase brand visibility, maintain a strong presence in relevant industry publications, and elevate WordPress VIPβs voice in global and national news cycles
- Oversee internal communications efforts to galvanize teams about our mission to grow our presence in the Enterprise CMS & Analytics space
- Oversee performance marketing strategies across various channels (e.g., SEM, paid social, display, retargeting) to drive enterprise customer acquisition and growth
- Responsible for performance and channel forecasting, budget management, and ROI analysis to maximize spend efficiency
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to track, measure, and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to achieve optimal results
- Oversee the team responsible for ensuring WordPress VIP has the best website in the world and executing a strategy that enhances the customer journey, improves conversion rates, enables VIP to build and own our own audience, and reduces friction across all touchpoints
- Responsible for driving the strategy, development, and ongoing optimization of a website experience that accurately reflects our brand promise, differentiation, and positioning by conveying messages relevant to our diverse customer base
