Account Executive

Summary

Join Kao as an Account Executive and partner with existing and new salon accounts to achieve sales goals for Goldwell, KMS, Kerasilk, and Varis brands. This remote position covers Hartford County and select areas of Litchfield County. You will maintain sales partnerships, identify new accounts, promote Kao products, and collaborate with marketing and education departments. Kao offers excellent benefits, including healthcare, 401(k) matching, 36 days off, a salary of $73,205, plus bonus and car allowance. The role requires 2 years of outside sales experience, excellent interpersonal skills, CRM and MS Office proficiency, and access to a vehicle. A professional appearance and the ability to identify and close sales are also essential.

Requirements

• 2 years of outside sales experience
• Identify sales opportunities, present, and close the sale
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional business relationships
• Working knowledge of CRM
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Professional and groomed appearance
• Access to registered and insured vehicle
• Daily local travel within territory and periodic overnight travel for training and company meetings

Responsibilities

• Maintain sales partnership with existing accounts and identify new accounts to maximize sales efforts
• Meet with clients to promote the purchase, sell-through and support of Kao USA salon products, promotions and programs
• Establish a relationship with top 25 competitor's salon customers within assigned territory
• Work with Marketing and Education Departments to ensure education events which include classes, workshops, seminars and shows, VIP events
• Complete all communication and assignments on time and submit all written reports as assigned to meet deadlines
