Summary

Join Nearmap's high-performing sales team as an Account Executive to manage a portfolio of 200 accounts, focusing on customer retention, expansion, and new business growth. You will leverage Portfolio Intelligence to drive acquisition, growth, and retention, landing new logos through prospecting and pipeline generation. This role involves leading complex solution deals in SaaS selling environments, using value-based selling methodologies and the MEDPICC qualification framework. You will collaborate with Customer Success Managers and cross-functional teams to enhance product adoption and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Successfully navigating complex procurement processes and C-level conversations to close deals is crucial. Requirements

  • Bring 5-10 years of enterprise sales experience with a proven Hunter mentality
  • Have deep SaaS-only selling experience with complex solution deals
  • Are expert in value-based selling and can articulate vision-driven business outcomes across industries
  • Have experience in the Built Environment sector and understand industry dynamics
  • Are proficient with MEDPICC methodology and can create pipeline using industry tools
  • Demonstrate strong Executive and business decision experience and can engage senior stakeholders
  • Enjoy working across a high-performance team and can rally others to a shared goal
  • Take initiative, own your outcomes, and know how to prioritise what moves the needle
  • Are hands-on with the sales tech stack - Salesforce, Salesloft, Quip, Highspot, and value the process as much as the result
  • Are willing to travel to meet customers and represent Nearmap at events, conferences and industry forums
  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience in Business Development or Account Executive roles, with a strong record of exceeding quota and driving new revenue
  • Familiarity with modern sales frameworks like MEDDIC, SPIN, Sandler or Challenger , you know how to run strategic discovery and turn insight into action
  • A history of managing ~200 accounts across existing clients and new prospects with a structured, data-driven approach

Responsibilities

  • Own a book of customers and prospects, developing and executing territory and account plans to drive acquisition, growth, and retention using Portfolio Intelligence insights
  • Focus on landing new logos through smart, self-directed prospecting and pipeline generation, creating your own pipeline using industry-leading tools
  • Lead complex solution deals in SaaS selling environments, using value-based selling methodologies and MEDPICC qualification framework
  • Navigate executive and business decision-maker conversations, demonstrating experience in exec/business decision engagement
  • Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to increase product adoption, drive expansion, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Solutions Engineering, BDRs and more to unlock strategic opportunities
  • Confidently navigate complex procurement processes and C-level conversations to close deals and deliver results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep vertical expertise in one of Nearmap’s priority sectors (Public Sector/Government, Civil Engineering, Utilities, Telecommunications, Asset Management), and hands-on exposure to tools like AutoDesk, Bentley, or ESRI is a big plus
  • Strong commercial acumen, you’re fluent in ROI, comfortable with Excel-based business cases, and can tailor value propositions to diverse stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of subscription-based business models and how to drive product adoption and retention over time
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally, you bring people together to close complex deals and deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • You know your way around Salesforce (SFDC) and believe in the power of accurate forecasting and clean pipeline hygiene
