Requirements

  • Accounting expertise is essential, with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • CPA certification is highly desired
  • Significant experience in an accounting role, with experience in accounting at K-12 private schools being highly desired
  • High level of proficiency in excel, particularly in creating macros that automate journal entry processes
  • Excellent technical acumen and ability to communicate technical accounting details to any audience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage many customer engagements simultaneously and keep them on track
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and effective training materials and documentation
  • A proactive and customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Clarity’s Sales and Customer Success teams to deliver specialized accounting support and serve as the primary resource for setup and integration questions throughout customer implementation
  • Lead billing and accounting product implementation for new customers, coach them through their initial journal entries, and provide guidance on reconciliation processes
  • Learn the accounting practices of each new school and create their first Clarity journal entries
  • Use learnings from manual journal entry creation to design an automated journal entry process for each new school using tools like excel macros
  • Support the setup and adoption of future direct accounting integrations, including QuickBooks and Sage Intacct, by helping customers configure them within Clarity
  • Own, develop and maintain an internal accounting knowledge base and external training materials for customs, including how-to guides, documentation, and videos
  • Work closely with the Product Team and Engineering Team to inform product decisions and identify accounting needs based on your direct customer interactions and accounting expertise
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure a cohesive and positive customer experience
