Accounting Manager

Summary

Join Belltower Fund Group as a strategic Accounting Manager and help design cutting-edge accounting processes using data-driven insights and technology. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance, you will oversee financial reporting, manage accounting operations (including procurement, AP, AR, and employee expense management), master internal tools and subledgers, and collaborate on process automation and optimization. This role is crucial for scaling accounting operations, driving data-informed decisions, and collaborating with business partners. The position is fully remote for anyone in the United States. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Strong technical skills with experience using Excel and SQL

Responsibilities

• Oversee Belltower’s financial reporting, including driving month-end close in collaboration with our parent company, AngelList
• Support quarterly company-wide financial updates and board reporting
• Own accounting operations (including procurement, AP, AR, employee expense management) with an emphasis on automation, streamlined processes, and a comprehensive infrastructure
• Design and maintain a right-sized, streamlined procurement process
• Master internally developed tooling and subledgers; collaborate with cross-functional owners
• Partner with Director to develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights on financial performance
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across the accounting function, especially in high-impact areas: revenue recognition, cash reconciliation, accounting operations including procurement, AP, and employee expense management
• Partner with the Director to identify and support strategic finance initiatives, including providing analytical support
• Contribute to the creation of a data-informed and profit-focused culture within the finance function and across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license
• 5+ years of GAAP accounting experience
• Experience using the tools we use: Netsuite and Ramp
• Experience in designing and implementing tech-forward accounting solutions
