Summary

Join Wiser Solutions, a global provider of in-store and eCommerce intelligence tools, as a full-time Accounting and Finance professional in our rapidly expanding division. Based remotely in Mexico, you will play a crucial role in managing accounting, finance, and office administration. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential. Reporting to the Corporate Controller in the U.S., you will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and HR Manager in Monterrey. This position demands a strong accounting background and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for various tasks, including preparing financial forecasts, managing accounts receivable and payable, processing payroll, and assisting with the implementation of NetSuite accounting software.

Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance degree required plus at least 7-10 years working experience including prior experience recording all general ledger transactions and processing payroll and all taxes
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency in Excel is required
  • Proficiency with other, major accounting systems is required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Able to multi-task activities with shifting priorities and have a “can do” approach to the varied responsibilities of this role
  • Should be honest, assertive, systematic and detail oriented
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly cash forecast spreadsheet to USA corporate accounting team
  • Accounts Receivable – invoice all customers and intercompany transactions, including obtaining Purchase Orders and uploading invoices to billing portals, follow up on collections and manage customer subscriptions with Mexico’s Go-To-Market team
  • Provide Quincenal (semi-monthly) payroll transaction data to external CPA firm, review payroll reports and set up payments to employees’ bank accounts
  • Manage and schedule Prestamos (employee advances) funded from Paynom / Bison Technologies
  • Accounts Payable - manage all vendor invoices and work with Managing Director to process payments
  • Assist with implementation of NetSuite accounting software for the Mexico subsidiary
  • Provide transaction details to CPA firm along with supporting documentation for daily accounting until NetSuite implementation completed, then work with CPA firm for monthly tax and GST reporting
  • Coordinate intercompany and external CPA firm financial requests
  • Assist Corporate Controller (US) with reviewing monthly financial reporting package from CPA firm
  • Perform other Finance and Accounting duties as assigned and special projects as deemed necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with NetSuite is preferable
